There's something calming about watching time pass. Life may get difficult and it's easy to get overwhelmed with work, bills, relationships, and so on. But life goes on. And I am determined to spend my time on this earth doing what I love to do, with people I love.

This is a time lapse I shot yesterday at Wooster & Main in BG Ohio. Thanks to Julie Berry for letting me use her 3rd story apartment room.

Radio Tower Photos

My brothers and I recently got permission to climb a radio tower. We have climbed it 3 times in the past couple weeks and here are some of the photos I took.

Wes and I were the 1st to climb the radio tower. This is a photo of Wes standing underneath the tower, right before we climbed it.

The radio tower was built during the Cold War, it is very old and not active anymore.

The tower is only 10 minutes south Bowling Green, OH.

The tower is 284 feet tall and has an amazing view!

It takes around 15 minutes to climb the the ladder to the top of the tower.

It is a long way up and can be very exhausting.

I took this photo from the top of the tower, our cars look like little toy cars.

The view is amazing and to the east of the tower is an a really cool old barn.

I have driven by this old barn before but never noticed it.

If you look closely you can see the Bowling Green wind mills on the horizon.

The 2nd time Wes and I climbed it Josh came along and we brought some golf balls and a driver.

It was 8:00am in the morning and we were driving golf balls off of a 284 ft tower....it was awesome!

Lake Michigan, Ludgington, Michigan

Lindsey and I went up to Ludington Michigan with my family this past weekend. I didn't get to take my 5D2 everywhere but I did take some pics with my iPhone.

I took these at the Ludington pier.

Fremont Airport

My girlfriend Lindsey lives in Tiffin and every time I drive to see her I pass this plain on RT-53. So one day I gave the airport a call to see if I could take some photos the next time I pass by, and on a beautiful sunny day 3 weeks ago I stopped by and took some photos.

From what I understand this is a Douglas DC-3 from the 1940's.

I have always been intrigued by old planes. When I was young I always dreamed of having a club house in one just like this!

This plane was in the far back of the airport and was in much better shape than the red one.

The plane door was open so I snuck inside and took some photos.

When I walked into the plane I felt very uneasy and felt like I was stepping back in time. I want to go back and take more photos inside of the plane.

Detroit Photos - 2

Detroit is by far my favorite city to photograph. I wish I could spend a year exploring this tragically beautiful city, I'd never run out of interesting thing to photograph. It's a dark and gloomy city but I truly believe that someday Detroit be beautiful once again.

These are some photos of the Michigan Central Station. I am planning a trip to photograph the inside of this massive building, so hopefully I'll have some more photos up soon.

Not sure if you can tell but all of the windows have been taken out, not broken. I hope this means that they are renovating it....no demolishing it.

This is my 2nd time photographing the Central Station, to see the photos from the 1st time go here.

Motorcycle shoot with Lindsey

I love riding my dad's 1982 Honda CB900! I have been riding it a lot this summer and decided to do a shoot with Lindsey. Lindsey and I went out one day and found a cool location to shoot. So here are some of the photos!

Lindsey and I went to Grand Rapids Ohio a few weeks ago on a beautiful summer day and took some photos.

I love how this path is surrounded by trees, it's an awesome portrait location.

Old Waterville Bridge

Some friends and I explored this bridge 4 years ago and I have always wanted to go back. So Lindsey and I went there and took some photos.

Last time I went I climbed up a tree to get on top of the bridge but some cut the tree down. I think I'm gonna go back soon with a rop and climb it!

Trip to Michigan with Lindsey

Lindsey and I took a trip to the great state of Michigan. There are so many great places to go to in Michigan but we only had time for Ann Arbor and Dundee. Our trip was cut short when it started to downpour, hopefully we can go back again this summer.

Took these photos in the University of Michigan Law Library. The buildings on the U of M are amazing, I could spend all day photographing them.

The ceiling is beautiful.

This photos were taken in a hallway in one of the Law buildings.

On our way to Ann Arbor we passed an abandoned house on RT 24, it has been there ever since I was young and I have always wanted to see it. So Lindsey and I drove back there, went inside and took some photos.

I love exploring new places with Lindsey!

I took this portrait of Lindsey in the garage of the rundown abandoned house. Lindsey is by far one of the most photogenic people I know, she is beautiful and extremely easy to photograph.

The has been sitting abandoned for at least 10 years and it is on the verge of falling over.

"KEEP OUT" = come on inside and take some sweet photos! ....at least for me it does.

I want to come back here and take some portraits here.

Lindsey and I enjoy exploring new places and taking photos. This past week or so we have went out a couple time and here are a few of the photos.

I love this photo of her.

We found this old rail road yard in Grand Rapids Ohio. There were a lot of cool spots to shoot.

I really like the orangish red of the this caboose and how it contrasts her blue outfit.

I took this photo and Lindsey edited it....she doesn't have to much experience in Photoshop but she did very well.

It always amazes me how people view the world in such individually unique ways. I would have never taken any of these photos this way but I love them!

Below is my favorite photo Lindsey took. I love how dark and grungy it is. She is very creative and I look forward to seeing more of her photos!

I took these of Lindsey in Grand Rapids, it was later in the evening and I shot these at 3200iso, i like how they have a smooth grainy film look!

This is Corbie.

She is a Zumba instructor and is a personal trainer. She started her own business and needed some photos for her site.

So here are some of the photos I took!

These photos were takin at Winter Garden Park in Bowling Green Ohio. It was 8am, foggy, and rainy which was perfect!

It was a lot of fun to shoot with Corbie and catch up on life, Corbie and I went to college together but now she lives in New York.

I also shoot her & Mike's wedding 2 years ago!

We went to the Bowling Green State University Stadium to do some workout photos.

I really like this photo below!

I wanted to do the workout shoot at BGSU because that's where she went college. She also played soccer all 4 years at BGSU!

I love the portrait below, they a complete contrast to the workout photos but I think the fit very well with them.

I haven't done to many photos shoots here at the BGSU stadium but I know I will in the future, there are so many great locations there.

Life is full of beauty

This photo was taken almost a year ago. I was having a really bad day and just wasn't happy at all. I was overwhelmed with depressing thoughts and was having a hard time seeing beauty in anything. I decided to go for a walk, when I was on my walk I looked up and saw the sky. My bad mood and depressing thoughts left instantly. I sat down and just watched the purplish clouds row by for at least an hour. It amazes me how I can get caught up in the business of life and get overwhelmed with things that truly don't matter.

Life is full of beauty.

Get out there and see it!

I love photographing people. Although I take many landscape photos, if I had the choice between photographing people or landscapes/architecture, I'd choose people any day. Taking landscape and architecture photos is relatively easy, your subject never moves and hardly ever changes. Portraits are much more challenging, they're not an emotionalist building. They have feelings, deep thoughts, a sense of humor, insecurities, and are endlessly and beautifully complexed. You have to subtly direct the person to get certain emotions and reactions out of them, ask them questions, make them laugh, and sometimes just be silent and listen. To be photographed is be vulnerable, to open up, and allow someone to get to know you better.

That's why I love photography people.

and on that note...

This past Sunday I took photos of Lindsey as we walked around Downtown Toledo. These are just a few of many, I selected some of my favorites and here they are!

I took these under the Toledo High Rise Bridge.

70 degrees, sunny, in open shade, with a slight breeze = prefect weather!

I call this photo below "Sandaless" ....haha she was wearing brightly colored flip flops in this photo and was kinda distracting, so I photoshopped them out!

Chicago Trip Photos

I have been wanting to go back to Chicago and photograph it for a long time and I finally did this past weekend!

Chicago is by far one of my favorite cities and is only a four hour drive away so I'm gonna try to go there more often.

Here are some of the photo I took.

Ever since I saw the Chicago Cloud Gate(The Bean) back in 2006 I have wanted to take photos of it at sunrise...and thats pretty much the only time people aren't there too. So I got there at 5:30am to start taking photos.

I love how it reflects the skyline/ the sky, it's by far one of my favorite modern art sculptures!

It took 2 years to make and was finished in 2006.

I took the photo below at 11:30 pm, there are actually people in the photo but all but one are blurred because it's a 2 min exposure...on the 24 hour security guy didn't move.

Chicago defiantly has the best skyline of all U.S. cities, in fact Chicago is the birth place of the sky scraper. I was a 10 story steal structure building, it was built in 1885 and at the time it was the tallest building in America but was sadly demolished in the 1930's.

This is what the bean looks like during the day, 100's of people visit it everyday.

Below is a photo of part of the outdoor Millenium Park Theater which is right by the Bean.

This was the view from our hotel room. Chicago is such a beautiful city, and by far the cleanest big city i have even been in....it's the complete oposite of Detroit!

The are drawbridges everywhere.

This photo was taken behind the the hotel we stayed at, the Chicago Sun-Times. I don't think this draw bridge works anymore but it was cool to see one up, and you can see the Willis Tower(formerly called the Sears Tower) in the back ground. I believe it's the tallest building in the U.S.

There are an endless amount of beautiful reflective buildings in Chicago, I love how they reflect the sky and other buildings.

It's always amazes me how many different levels big cities have, it's no NYC but Chicago has a lot beneath your feet!

A Bentley Continental GT, a 180 Gran car...it blows my mind how many sweet cars you see in big cities.

Had to visit the apple store and play with the iPad 2

If I lived in the city I'd either work at an Apple Store or clean Sky scraper windows!!

These guys are 70 stories high!

I enjoyed my visit to Chicago and defiantly want to go back when it's not 28 degrees! THere are still a lot of places I want to visit/photograph in Chicago and if you have any suggestions let me know.

Detroit photos

A couple weeks ago my friend Sara and I went to Detroit to take some photos. We went to the Michigan Central Station which has been closed since 1988. It has been used many movies like Transformers, the Island, and 8 mile....and it's been in a couple Eminem music videos.

We didn't end up going inside but I am planning on going back sometime soon and taking some photos inside of it!

Detroit was planning on tearing it down but didn't because people sued saying it was a nationally historic building, that was in 2009. Now the people who own it have plans to possibly rebuild it, which would be awesome because it's a beautiful building! But they say it'll cost over 80 million to rebuild!

A couple photos of Luke James Preforming at the Clazel this past Friday.

I don't like how the Clazel lights for shows....it totally ruins photos! They need all the colored lights on the background, backlighting the performer, and maybe side light with some different colors BUT they need to have a natural on the person so the skin tones are right. This way the subject wont blend in with the background!!

This Charley and he's a 8 week old Mastiff/Shepard mix!

He's gettin so big.

He can finally run pretty well and loves to play.

I am a dog person and love puppies! I can't wait till I can have my own dog someday.

Sometimes I forget where I am, I catch myself walking in the footsteps of my past. Thinking and dreaming of what I once had and loved. My old habits, obligations, and instincts will periodically consume me. Pretty much everything in my life reminds me of the past six years. There aren't to many places in Bowling Green that don't trigger old memories. It's not just places, it's people too. It's my family, friends, my own clothes and shoes, photos I've taken, books I have read, music I enjoy listening too and so much more. I feel like there is no getting around it. If I got rid of everything good in my life that reminded me of her I would have pretty much nothing. I am far from content with my present life. I find myself reminiscing in the past and dreaming of the future.

Yes, sometimes I do wake up and don't think of her, and I have even went multiple days without thinking of it. But then it hits me, a feeling I find very hard to explain. At first it is comforting like a memory from my childhood opening gifts with my family on Christmas morning but at the same time the very thought makes me sick to my stomach. Like when you wake up from a nightmare. I fill up with anxiety, I feel like something has gone horribly wrong and I start to doubt God's plan for me. When I stop trusting God with my life, lies start to feel like the truth and I begin to base my self-worth on things of this world.

I have to be reminded daily that my self-worth is based on Christ alone and nothing else.

I need a new bike!

This has been my bike for the past 4 years, I road it to almost all of my classes and still ride it pretty much everyday! It's a Trek 400 Road Bike, it was originally my Uncle Tim's bike but he gave it to my dad 16 years ago, so it's at least 20 some years old.

I have replaced a lot of parts on it in the past 4 years but it is finally starting to fall apart.

I have crashed it at least 4 times. I have bent the handlebars, front fork, front rim, and it is scraped up all over.

Now that I live in Bowling Green I ride everyday...to work and just for fun.

I really enjoy riding at night. It's relaxing, a good way to clear my head, and gets me away from all of the distractions at my apartment.

I have this iPhone app that tracks my millage, MPH, and tracks me with GPS. Then sends it to RunKeeper.com. The site keeps track of all my miles, in the past 3 weeks have averaged 12.4 miles per day! I am riding almost as much as I drive now!

Here's a screen shot of my bike ride route from the other night, I road all around BG. I can also name & save the routes so I can ride them again in the future...this one was a trip down memory lane.

But my bike isn't doing so well though, the back wheel wobbles, most of the gears don't work right, and all the barrings grind. I really need/want a new bike. I want to get something that'll last all long as my Trek has! I don't have the money now but hopefully by the spring I can get one.

I'd love to have this Trek!

These past four months have exhausted me with some highs and many lows and I have realized I need to stop putting all my faith in people and start trusting God completely.

Zooey's Puppies!

Zooey had 10 puppies, they are 4 weeks old and so cute! They are a German Shepard & Bull Mastiff mix.

There are 5 brown and 5 black puppies.

This is Carlos, he is the biggest puppy, weighing in around 6 lbs! THey should be around 80lbs once they are full grown.

We took them outside on a warm day so they could run around in the grass, they loved it.

Hey everyone, it has been so long since I have updated my blog! But here is just a little bit of the past 2 months!

Sometimes I really do wish I could be a musician but I have never been musically gifted. If I could learn to play any instrument it would be the piano. But any ways...

I took this photo with my Canon 5D2 and a 50mm Lensbaby at f/22, I really like using the lensbaby for landscapes!

All of these photos were taken from the top of a parking garage. I really like view from the top.

It's mostly just roof tops but I it, I love alleys and old buildings!

Snook's Dreams Cars Shoot - Trevor Lee Photography - Bowling Green Ohio

Here are some photos I took this past Monday at Snook's Dream Cars in Bowling Green Ohio. Snook's is a car museum and they have a lot of amazing cars! Here are just a few of the photos I took!

This is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air ....and sorry I don't have all of the cars/names/years but I might add em later. This car was beautiful! The detail and the over top design is amazing, they defiantly don't make cars like this anymore!

These two photos were taken infront of the Snooks building.

An old 50's Ford in front of Snooks, all of the cars they have run very well and look brand new!

Pontiac GTO! ...1966...i think. This was taken inside the Snooks building...there are 20 plus other cars in this room!

A sweet 60's Jaguar convertible!

This is a 1933 Cadillac 355C. I love the 2 tone black and blue!

And it's pretty cool how the door reflected the car next to it.

Here are two more photos of the 33 Cadillac, I really like the front of this car is so sweet!

Stormy day landscapes - Trevor Lee Photography - Northwest Ohio

I love stormy days, they're my favorite days to go out and shoot! The past couple days have been very overcast and stormy so when I had some free time I went out and took some photos.

I live close to I-75 out in the country and I recently found a really cool stop under the I-75 over passes. I had been waiting for a stormy day to go take some photos. So here they are!

The photo of the train below was not planned...while I was taking photos of the over passes I saw a train coming. I got really excited and climbed up a 15(ish) foot ladder that held the railroad light and waited for the train to come!

Now the ladder/stand I climbed was like 6 feet away from the tracks which I didn't think much of BUT it was a lot closer than I thought. As the train came I was overwhelmed with the size and power of the train, it was so close! I didn't realize the train hung over the rails about 2 feet...so I was like 4 or feet away from it! And below is a photo of the train when it was next to me.

But don't worry I was just fine and I totally want to do it again!

It's such a cool location, I want to do some portraits out here.

I love the leading lines and all the great colors!

Below is the panoramic view I had when I was on the railroad stand...The road you see is Bays road right of RT-25 and I-75.

NO TRESPASSING = come in and take sweet photos!

This is a huge pond next to I-75, it's hidden behind woods, brush, and fields.

And here's a random photo of a old car in Jerry City..... mile or so from my house.

This is Luke James, he's originally from the Bowling Green area but now lives on NYC. I was recently on American Idol, He made it in the top 50!! but didn"t make it into the top 24.

Toledo photos & my new s90 pics!

Last week me and my friend Matt went to Toledo and here are some photos I took.

Above is a photo of a church we found some where in Toledo and I don't even remember where but I really like it. I love photographing old churches!

I recently won a Canon s90 compact camera on a online photo competition....the s90 is pretty much a Canon g11 but crammed in a smaller body. It has a f/2 lens, shoots raw files, and has full manual settings! It's a really sweet camera and I like having it b/c I don't have to lug my 5D2 everywhere.
So here are some photos I have taken with it over the past couple days!

These photos were taken at Levis Commons in Perrysburg Ohio. Which I
want to go back to and do some portraits, it's a great location.

Here's a macro shot of some plant we have in our house!

I really like this photo of Ed! This was taken early in the morning and the sun was rising in the background making some sweet lens flare...pretty impressed with the s90's lighting/flare control!

I love this shot of my mom, so candid and natural. That's whats nice about having a small compact camera, people don't notice it and I can pull it out of my pocket and snap a pic i want without the person knowing.

Here are some outdoor winter portraits I have taken over the past couple months!!

All of these photos were taken with a 50mm lens

(above) This is my fiance Jamie! I love this photo of Jamie, she loves coffee and spends a lot of time at Grounds for Thought in Bowling Green Ohio(her home town). So it was a perfect location to take her photo and this was my 1st photo of this project, this is the photo that inspired me to take more winter portraits.

(above) This is Marky on the porch of his house on main st in BG. He kinda reminds me of a lion in this photo, his beard and hood fur look like a mane of a lion!

(above)This is Brett, he is a BGSU student and I have known since we were young when we were students at Bowling Christian Academy. I took this photo while me, brett, and Marky went out to shoot around BG. I like how it turned out, I took my 50mm lens of the camera and tilted it to get a tilt-shift look!

(above) This is my Brother Mitch, he's a BGSU student majoring in business. I took this in a BGSU parking lot while it was snowing.

Here are some photos from the State tournament!Elmwood had 5 kids qualify for Ohio Wrestling State!

Dexter Lee (my youngest brother), 103lb Sophomore. He took 7th!
Nick Goebel, 112lb Junior. He took 3rd!

Wes Lee(my 2nd youngest brother), 125lb Senior. Wes Had a tough tournament, Wes was winning 1st round by 3 points but in the 3rd period he hurt his foot really bad and could barely finish the match, he lost and that kid went on to taken 3rd. The doctors taped his foot up for his 2nd match but he could barely walk and he didn't win the match. It was a hard way to end a season this way but life doesn't always seem fair but I know everything happens for a reason. Great season Wes!
This is Mitch Emmitt, a 130lb Sophomore. He went 0-2 but lost to the state champ 1st round but he still has 2 more years!

This is Tyler Baer, He is a 145lb senior. Tyler is only a 4 yr wrestler and made to state this year! He went 0-2 but had 2 really close matches!

A panoramic I took at Wrestling State in Columbus Ohio! This photo was taken the 2nd day when all 10 mats are down but for the finals there are only 3 mats and a lot more seating, The state attendance record was set my sophomore year and it was just under 17,000 for finals! Which is the most people to ever watch any high school event indoors!

Coloring at Grounds for Thought...a coffee shop/bookstore in BG.

Jamie and I bought a coloring book, some crayons, went to Grounds for Thought and tried to stay in the lines!

It was Jamie's idea and we had a lot of fun!

When it comes to coloring/drawing I am a perfectionist, I took forever the finish one page. Jamie got 2 done!

Look at that sweet orange Dinosaur....reminds me of when I was a kid and I loved to watch Land Before Time!

The past month I have been taking photos for a personal project...here are a couple screenshots of me editing them. The project should be done within 2-3 weeks!

Last year I did a self portrait of myself that looked like I got beat up, Fight Club Pic...one of my favorite movies of all time. Since I took that photo I have always wanted to more, so today I did one for everyone one in my family. The photos were taken in our basement. I really like how they turned out! Kinda scary...lol

The photos were taken with a Canon G10 with Direct flash and were editing in PS and lightroom.

This is my dad and is by far the most graphic photo.

This is the photo I took last year as a self portrait. It's a lil different than the other ones but I still like it...and this photos is hanging up at the Hallmark Institute of Photography administrative building, which is awesome!

These are interior photos I took at the Victory Hotel in Bowling Green Ohio where we had my Dad's surprise birthday party! It's a really old hotel but really cool, most people don't even know about it.

I thought about doing the 365 self portrait this year but decided I don't really have the time and have more important thing to do. BUT I will be updating my blog more with photos and I might throw in a self pic every once and awhile.

I really like the pool room, it's a great background!

My dad turned 50 on Dec 30th!

But the big 50 hasn't affected my dad too much, he very rarely misses a wrestling practice(he's a wrestling coach). I hope I'm as healthy and active at 50 as my dad is!

MMA Cage fight photos!

This past Saturday I went down to Columbus Ohio to warch & take photos of my friend Brian King fight! It was a really fun night with a lor of great fights! If you have never been to one I highly recommend you going.

Here are a few of my favorites from the night! I took these with my Canon 5D2 which was a lot better than last time when I used my old 5D....all of the light flares and blotches of light in the photos are from the chain link fence. I wanted to put a latter up so I could take photos from above but it didn't work out.
I love the above photo! You can see the guys skin rippling from Brian's kick!

It was by far the most entertaining fight of the night. Brian never stopped attaching the 1st 2 rounds but his opponent never gave up and kept caming back for more.

Brain also had one of the biggest crowd of fans and they never stopped cheering.

The fight went all 3 rounds and Brian won! Which is his 2nd straight pro win!

Congrats Brian!

New Kitten!

This is our new kitten! He is 8 weeks old.
He haven't been able to pick a name for him.
my family is split between Mac & Leo.
I want to name him Mac after the character on Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
What do you guys think??
He is very energetic and very hard to keep him still to take a photo of him.

The kitten with our dog Zooey. Zooey is afraid of cats b/c our other cat Ed used to beat her up when she was a puppy. So Zooey was scared of the kitten at first but is now starting to like him more!

Mac is defiantly not scared of Zooey though, he is always trying to play with her. But Mac hasn't had any luck with our other cat Ed who is 12 years old. Ed hisses, growls, and bats at Mac....Ed's a grumpy old man.
